The Animals’ Conference

STIFT TOUCHÉ
SOLAR PUNK, Dortmunder U,
24.10.-18.01.2026

When the world can no longer be explained, we seek the counsel of animals. The collective Stift Touché has filled over 400 pages and countless zines with modern myths: a chronicle of colorful anarchy and absurd situations. Our style is the result of a collective rotation principle: each member intervenes in the aesthetics, causing perspectives to merge into political noise.

For SOLAR PUNK, the collective reactivates the subversive idea of Erich Kästner’s “The Animals’ Conference”. In the face of human failure in matters of war and ecology, Stift Touché stages an uprising of the fauna: rodents become archivists of destruction, and moths turn into disarmament experts who pulverize uniforms.

These works consider themselves an adequate graphic response to the state of the world. They do not merely illustrate hope, but demand an interspecies-based solution through striking slogans and teeming visual worlds. Stift Touché envisions a glorious, albeit chaotic future in which offices serve the common good and science is committed to peace. A Solar Punk that does not gleam, but rather proliferates, breathes, and intervenes.
